Maintaining Your Persian Carpet

Persian carpets have been a luxury decoration in many homes. A purchased of Persian carpet is an investment and a price possession that is deemed to maintain.

Tips in maintaining your Persian Carpet or any handmade carpet.

1. Vacuum your Persian carpets on a regular basis. However, never vacuum the fringe of the carpet as it will damage the carpet, the vacuum and the fringe itself. Always vacuum your carpet with the suction only. Never use the vacuum brush.

2. Rotate your carpet at least once a year, depending on the foot traffic of the carpet.

3. Avoid placing heavy furniture on the carpets. Should you wish to place heavy objects, be sure to rotate it frequently.

4. Always put your carpet away from direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can affect the color and brilliance of your carpet.

5. If liquid spill onto your Persian Carpet. Clean the spill as soon as possible. Never use any cleaning agent. We do recommend a professional cleaning for your Persian carpet to prevent any kind of damages. As most of the Persian carpets are composed of different materials and dyes, attempting to clean it will just result to bleeding of colors and more damages to the carpet.
